First of all the question everyone asks is : WHAT IS AN ODELAY? Well, Beck did not know how to spell the Spanish Hora Le, which sounds like Odelay. Beck grew up influenced by many cultures in Los Angeles, and it shows in this fine album. There are elements of folk music, like Woody Guthrie, funk, like Prince, rap, like Beastie Boys, and everything else thrown in for good measure. And you know what? It works. There is no other sound on the radio as unique as this guy. If you buy it there is no doubt you will get hooked quickly.
