this is, without a doubt, one of the coolest albums i own, simply because it's so eclectic. it misses no stops, skips no beats. from the furious force of 'devil's haircut' and 'novacane' to the eerie 'derelict' and incredibly layered and funny 'high 5', beck showers you with screams, funky rhymes, and innocent innuendo. his voice is something rare these days: folky, honest, sweet and powerful. i boldly proclaim that each track is a work of art, in a way, and listening to this album always makes me feel much, much better.
