As the title of my review subtely blames Chris Barnes as the cause of me giving this cd 3 stars, I would like the chance to say this cd would've been great if they had've had Corpsegrinder. The vocals are terrible here. Chris sounds like he's mumbling. Although Hammer Smashed Face sounds 3x as good when Corpsegrinder does the vocals (see DVD), it's still one of Cannibal Corpse's best songs, and with Chris being a passenger, it just goes to show how damn good of a song they created here.

The two covers are obliterated by Chris Barnes. I was disapointed because Zero the Hero would have sounded awesome played by CC. The experience is however destroyed by Chris. The Suffocation cover.....I never was a huge Suffocation fan and Chris Barnes? Forget it. Where as I can actually listen to Zero the Hero and partly ignore Chris, The Exorcist is just not good.

i decided to give this cd a 3/5, mostly riding off the success of Hammer Smashed Face. Well, it depends on the way you look at it. As an EP, it sucks and I would've given it 2/5, but as a single, you usually buy singles for the one song (or some collectors buy it for rare tracks), so I would've given it 4/5. Well, seeming as though it's neither, I've given it 3/5.

Buy it if you're a collector, but if not, you might as well forget about this and buy Tomb of The Mutilated, you won't miss out on much.

P.s. Chris Barnes sounds better than this with Six Feet Under!!
