In the beginning....

Having heard the Cocteau Twins on the This Mortal Coil compilation album, It'll End in Tears, I was interested in seeing how this group progressed from the post punk sound of the early 80's to the rich tapestry that they would eventually become. Garlands is a good album and for fans of the early 80's sound. it certainly is among the better sounding groups out there. However, it is not what I really like so the lower rating only comes from the fact that I know how wonderful they eventually sound!
