Dave Matthews Band

Everyday

DMB at their worst

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (2/10)
What more can be said? it lacks intelligent, fresh themes and complex lyrics and is ultimately boring. The only song worth listening to is "What You Are," as it has a hard-edged vibe similar to old-school (non-BTCS) versions of "Halloween." Also, the song "Everyday," a revised version of its earlier superior, "#36," is good when Matthews softly sings it alone on the acoustic (as he did at the performance for the televised 9/11 fundraiser). And interestingly, Everyday and their successive album, Busted Stuff, (both representing their worst efforts in the studio to date) are the only albums so far to feature the band members themselves as cover art. draw your own conclusions.
