However, after having this album for a couple of years now and filling out my DMB collection, I don't find this album particularly wonderful. The musicianship that shows up on other DMB albums is missing here. Fortunately, it shows up in concert, but even lyrically these songs are not too fantastic. Take the lead track "I Did It" for instance. Nothing too compelling there. Of course the album is much stronger than that, but a lead track does say a lot.
Don't get me wrong, this is a good album. The song "Everyday" is fantastic as is "Mother Father" which features Santana. Even "When the World Ends" and "The Space Between" are great songs. They just don't sound very DMB. Try the recent live album "at Folsom Field" to hear what this album should of been.
