THE BEST ALBUM EVER....for Mr. Joe Lynn Turner!
Review Score:

(8/10)
This disc has grown on me over the years, especially when I stopped thinking of it as Deep Purple, and more in line with Rainbow instead. This clearly has a more POP ROCK vibe, than a HARD ROCK vibe. But, there are some really good songs and great production to be found here. Songs like, King of Dreams, Fire In The Basement, The Cut Runs Deep, Truth Hurts, Love Conquers All and Wicked Ways are all very good, and would be considered "great" if they'd come from one of those Metal-hair bands from the late 80's and early 90`s. If you liked Rainbow with Turner at the mic, than you'll really enjoy Slaves and Masters.
