I bought this album when I was sixteen and just beginning to enjoy music both as an art form and for memories. Many of these songs were playing in the background of my life as I was growing up.
This is the combination of talented musicians which were pulling together a new type of sound. The music presented is a mix of country, rock, harmonies and feelings. Nothing as revolutionary as the music Steely Dan or Alan Parsons recorded but, that is what makes this different. These are just good songs to listen to.
Take it Easy and Witchy Woman are great beginnings to this album. Lyin' Eyes is a wonderfully sad song about love and money . One of These Nights really begins to capture the sound which led the band into the Hotel California stage.
What is presented on this disc are just great songs. They perfectly fit into your day; whether it's early morning or late at night. Or just enjoy these song while you're driving around. There is a reason why this album has been so successful-if this is bad music then let me be damned!
