Excellent band, but, unlike, CSNY, Stones, Allman Bros, Dylan, Who, Bowie, Pink Floyd, or some other early 70's icons, the Eagles hits were much better than the albums they were drawn from. The Eagles hits are decidedly great, but, in the case of the other aformentioned artists, their popular hits were almost never as good as the albums. For this reason the Eagles Vol 1 and Vol 2 are a better purchase than the individual cd's for all but real die hards.
