Pointless product. Don't waste your money.

As it became clear that Eagles were kaput, Asylum records released this piece of product. There is certainly room for a decent Greatest Hits Vol. 2 in the discography, as the first volume clocks in with a scant 10 tracks and misses a number of key cuts (as well as anything from the post GH-Vol. 1 era). However this LP is not it. This album consists exclusively of tracks from Hotel California, The Long Run, and (represented by a single song) the Live album. Hotel California is their best album, The Long is their worst, and the heavily overdubbed live is irrelvant. So this collection is expectedly mediocre. You'd do much better just buying Hotel California and--if you must--The Long Run.
