Evidently, They DID "Get Over It!" and then some!

Well, "the GUYS" did decide to "Get Over It", and get down to "The Heart Of The Matter"; and weren't we,the fans the true beneficiaries of THAT attitudeand fact! "Get Over It" just slammed me back in time to prime Eagles full-tiltrock, and proved just once again what these guys are made of. (Also, the "social commentary" inherent in it tickled me. D. Henley at his forte' perchance?) The new stuff was pretty impressive, but then Timothy B. Schmit"s soaring soprano always did give me goosebumps before, as it did exquisitely on "Love Will Keep Us Alive." (as did their omnipresent,never disappointing harmonizing.) Also absolutely ADORED their re-workings of their "classics", acoustics and "paringthem down", plus slowing them down a tad worked wonderfully. And of course, being the inveterate perfectionists that they are, the sound was impeccable; whether it was their trademark rockers or ballads. I, personally, had been wishing, and hoping, and praying that "the Reunion" would occur for a LONG time. There wasn't one ioata of disappointment in me on ANY level concerning THIS cd. As far as I'm concerned,this baby is a "must have", stand-on-it's-own-laurels-beauty"; no matter whether you already own their complete (up to then, at least) discorophy or not! As I do, but I sure wouldn't part with this baby, no matter what I had priorly owned,up to; and including then. Period."Restore your soul music" indeed, as well as giving me a huge upsurge of faith, in general. I want to thank them personally for that. Guess I did, huh?
