The Best Blending of Country and Rock Ever

Rarely has there been an LP or CD that is so good that I am willing to shell out extra dollars in order to obtain a GOLD CD version of it. It just so happens that The Eagles-Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) is one of those rare releases.

The sound quality is excellent, and the tracks are every bit as enjoyable today as they were when I listened to them as a kid some 25 years ago. The Eagles provided unique blends of music that came to be embraced in mainstream America. So many artists, both country and rock, owe a debt of gratitude to the Eagles.
There is little doubt that they paved the way to commercial success for other great performers, including: Kenny Rogers, Eddie Rabbitt, and ZZ Top.

Whether this is the best release of all time is debatable. I will, however, go to some CD stores and see releases of artists with a Ten Best label and end up concluding that, at the very least, The Eagles-Their Greatest Hits(1971-1975) is definitely the best 10 song compilation of all time.
