I say this for all my reviews covering bands I like from the 80's (cure,replacements,tears for fears,etc etc). That the music that came out during the 90's (especially towards the end of the 90's, that rap rock nonsense) was inferior to that made in the 80's. Nowhere can this be proved more soundly than in "alternative music". I was a viewer of 120 minutes in the late 80's and loved what I saw. When I've tuned into 120 minutes during the last few years in particular I want to vomit. Now hip-hop is alternative? My god have we degenerated that much in just ten years? I have not but the american public with it's 30 second attention span and it's placing more value on style than substance has. Not everyone will sell their souls.....
