Edge Of Sanity

Infernal

Not a real Edge of Sanity album

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (6/10)
After Crimson, Dan moved to a away from his home town with his family and lost touch with the other band members. Not really feeling very connected to each other, Dan Swano and the other bands members started writing separate songs for an album that would ultimately be the bands swansong. Just listening to the differences between Dans songs and the other bands songs it is obvious that the two factions no longer agreed on what Edge of Sanity should sound like. Dan's half of the album essentially sounds like a heavier Nightingale, with short poppy death metal songs that sound closest to the bands original sound. These songs Damned by the Damned, Together Forever, etc. begin Dan's venture to become a one man band. The other half of the album sounds like a rocky Hypocrisy with some good riffs, but ultimately have little to do with the sound of Edge of Sanity's past works. The split in the band would ultimately lead to Dan continuing his music under his own name, where the rest of the band would attempt one more Edge of Sanity album "Cryptic" before disbanding.
