Spectacular and Sad Epitaph to Elliott

'From a Basement on the Hill' is sometimes brilliant, sometimes spectacular, often beautiful. But, many of the songs are sad, and his anger and depression are heavily evident. Most of his past music is infectious and this is no different, but that overwhelming sadness never leaves. Considering Elliott's history I am still recommending this cd for those of us who appreciate his talent and wish we could have done something to help him.
