Amazing...purely amazing

This album, as a whole, is very remarkable. The beginning with "Coast to Coast" is catchy and well written, thus drawing you in from the start. I don't think there is a weak spot; I can listen from beginning to end over and over again and I never tire of it.

Elliot Smith's lyrics are amazing. Yes, they were hauntingly depressing and about suicide...but the songs are not morbid, they are sad and beautiful.

For me the stand out track is "King's Crossing". This has become my new favourite song. I like the overall feel of the song, but if you listen to the lyrics, it's just WOW. Powerful, powerful stuff. This one song has produced so much emotion for me, I would have gotten the entire album just to hear it.

Well worth the money of buying this CD. RIP Elliot. Your talents will not be forgotten.
