Elton John

Made In England

Truly Made To Believe

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (10/10)
1995 proved to be a fantastic year for Elton John. He won a Grammy and an Oscar for Can You Feel The Love Tonight from The Lion King. While that came about, Elton also began a musical homecoming that would begin to surface for the rest of the 1990's.

The 1995 album Made In England was the very first to really show Elton's roots in quite sometime, in fact the very first since his early works in the 1970's. The songs here are melodic and simple, blending a mix of rock music, with a dash of orchestral moods in the background on songs like House, Believe, and Belfast. Other songs still show Elton John's rock edge, like Made In England, Pain, and Please.

While the album didn't sell as big as Elton John's other works in the 1970's, Made In England still proved that Elton John has plenty of soul left in him, and that is nothing to squeeze at.
