First of all, if you don't like this album, you have no reason being a fan of the rap genre. Yes, he's vulgar. Yes, he's a high school dropout. Yes he's not your all american boy. But he's the best lyricist i've ever heard. The beats may be simplistic, but who really cares when Eminem is sayin the things he is saying on this record. He was a breakthrough artist, coming into the rap game as a solid white rapper. This album deserves every bit of praise i am giving it. You turn it on, and from 'Public Service Announcement' to 'Still Don't Give a F***' you'll be amazed at the things he says. Even after his other two albums dropped Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show, neither of them can touch his first release and it definately goes down as a classic. If you're not into the garbage down south "ridin spinnas" ... and you actually LISTEN to what the MC's sayin, cop this album, its my favorite rap album, and like i said, best lyrical one i've ever heard.
