"Mirror"-ing MCMXC A.D.

Whether or not you like "MCMXC A.D.", everyone must admit it created a phenomenon! Michael Cretu took the idea of combining religion and relentless sexuality to heights never before imagined. Fans of the first CD will be happy to know that the original sound of Enigma has been recreated....and then some....on this AWESOME CD!

Enigma's second CD "The Cross of Changes" was an almost perfect compliment to "MCMXC A.D." Enigma's third attempt, "Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!" sounded half-hearted and dull...no passion. "Screen" shows that Michael Cretu (the force behind Enigma) has redeemed himself in an explosive way! Sultry and slick, this CD takes you in and doesn't let you go!

I noticed that Enigma has taken a couple of cues, on this CD, from Deep Forest (another fantastic musical entity.) The use of synthetic voices and samples that sound as if they could be from a Pygmie tribe are right on the money, and never detracts from the overall organic sound.

Light some candles, open your favorite bottle of wine and put this CD on your player. A perfect evening is guaranteed!
