I see here too many people who rate E4 too low. From one hand, I can understand them - they're an old fans of Enigma and they got used to it's style very much. And, as E4 is much more different from the previous ones, they're upset. But, I must admit, that Enigma shouldn't be the same in all the albums Cretu makes! What if E4 had the same Greg. chants, low mood's melody etc? We would dislike the music for its sameness. But here we're resting while listening to completely new (though with some old sounds) music.

As for the album itself, I can say that the music became more aggressive and lively. We hear no more so many low-key tracks as in E2-E3. It's only Traces which is the most quiet and serene. Modern Crusaders and Silence Must Be Heard are the most aggressive and solid/dance pieces here.

What is more important is that Cretu (as always) gave us a perfectly mixed compilation. Sometimes, when I listen to E4, I can't even imagine how it becomes possible to combine so many sounds in that order that it's not a mess but a great melody.

The only thing I disliked here (may be you - too) was the repetition of some "words of wisdom". Though they're as always brilliant, repetition makes them less mysterious and attractive. But, again, it happens only in one-max. two songs.
