Contrary to what one might think in seeing Enrique on the cover of the May issue of YM magazine, his music appeals to a wider audience than the tenni-bopper set. He sings HERO with a passion and tenderness that would appeal to fans of Johnny Mathis. Unlike some albums, Escape's sellections all have an appealing quality, with their up-beat tempo and catchy rhythms. The listner won't have to fast-forward to get to the "good" song. And how cleaver of Enrique to repetitively wail "you can run" a the closing of ESCAPE That has become a signiture phrase of that song that stays in the listner's mind He is a love song crooner whose style evokes the romantic in all of us.
