Entombed shed the Death Metal to create a metal classic.

Never being a fan of Death Metal screams and growls I came upon To Ride, Shoot Straight with a sceptics ear, but from the first opening riff right through to the end I felt the same kind of thrill as when I heard Motorhead's Ace of Spades for the first time. This album kicks! Now, I'ld like to know how much Nikke Andersen played an influence on this record before devoting himself fulltime to The Hellacopters,cause his name's all over it. Anyway, in my estimation - an all time Metal classic; no cheesy solos; no cheesy vocals, and straight up uncomplicated riffs - you can't say that about Fear Factory or Slayer or ...90% of most Metal crap these days.
