Solid blues from a master

Eric Clapton's "Blues" is a 2-CD album of, what else - suberb blues from one of the genre's most prominent ambassadors. Disc one contains tracks recorded in the studio and disc two contains live tracks, all taken from various sessions recorded during 1970-1980. Some of the songs are Clapton originals, others are covers of songs by legends like Robert Johnson, but it's all great music. If you appreciate long blues jams in excess of 5 minutes, rest assured there are plenty of them on this album. "Blues" makes great background music while you're toiling away at whatever drudgery you do to pay the bills. Note to the seven dwarfs - instead of whistling while I work, I listen to the blues.
