I'm a very accomplished blues/rock guitarist and I know the blues very well. Most of the songs on this album are songs which are usually not covered by other artists such as Last fair deal gone down or Hellhound on my Trail. I feel this is a terrific album and I think everyone should agree with me. However, there are some things about this album that I can understand why some people don't like it for instance its lack of creativity (every song is done almost exactly the way Johnson did them), Clapton's poor slide playing, and his piercing vocals on Hellhound on my trail. But besides all that, Clapton did a very good job and I feel this is going to make people realise that there was a man named Robert Johnson! (Note: I believe Robert Johnson was the starting of urban-style blues and probably the heir to rock itself)
