I really wasn't expecting to love this album as much as I do. "My Father's Eyes" was terribly overplayed on the radio, and I really got tired of hearing it. Then, just a couple of weeks ago I picked up this album at a flea market and listened to it. It is for sure a change from the classic Clapton, and at first I wasn't that impressed. But I gave it a chance, and wow! I think it's wonderful. My favourite is "River of Tears". It is just so beautiful. The whole album though has wonderful songs. Yes, there is a lot of drum programming, which a lot of people aren't crazy about, including me, but on this album it just seems right. I have even begun to appreciate "My Father's Eyes" again, and consider it a great song. But the album is worth the price for one song alone, and that is of course "River of Tears".
