This one's worth listening to

In Pilgrim, Eric Clapton's work is rich and textured. His guitar is not the guitar you will hear in classics like Layla, but it is present, as an aid to his increasingly rich and resonant voice. To listen to that voice in River of Tears is to hear pathos, to plumb the depths of pain. Clapton's diverse talent is shown in his abiltity to present himself both in the soulful She's Gone and the electronica influenced Inside of Me. Never one to rest on his laurels, Eric continues to experiment along the way. Pilgrim is evidence not only of Eric Clapton's maturity, but of his ability to tell it like it is, from his heart and soul. And like a vintage wine, he just keeps getting better.
