Peace

A Very Good Album

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (8/10)
While I admit that I was initially somewhat disappointed that this album contains no overtly "electronic" sounding tracks, reminiscent of "Here Comes The Rain" or "Sweet Dreams", I was very pleased to find that it does contain several beautiful tracks which remind me of older favorites such as "Don't Tell Me Why" and "Angel". These include "I Saved The World Today", "Beautiful Child", and "17 Again". I do feel that the reference to "Sweet Dreams" in the last verse of "17 Again" was cool and subtle, but then actually singing the song seems too obvious and ruins the effect. There are several other good tracks here as well. "Power To the Meek" is a bit more of a rock track, bringing to mind older tracks such as "Missionary Man" or "Would I Lie To You". "Forever" reminds me of a slightly softer version of classic Oasis, or more accurately the Beatles. I love the bridge on this one. All in all, I very much enjoy this CD.
