I've Had Better Conversations....

(4/10)
...than Fabolous' "Real Talk". His third album in a line of lackluster albums, ("Street Dreams" was a nightmare) brings him right back to where he started, the streets. Yes, its relatively harder than anything else he's done, in terms of beats, production, and flow, but it still feels like somethings missing. This album was just "okay" to me, and "okay" isnt good enough.
I like the first single "Breathe", and honestly, I think its two OTHER people on this album who shine harder, Lil' Mo, on the damn good, should be the next single "Holla At Somebody Real", and Mike Shorey, who's vocals I can get with, as previously heard on "Can't Let You Go", currently in "Young and Sexy", one of my nods for best song on the album, and "Baby".
Thats it for the good side, lets get to the reasons why you should spend 10 dollars elsewhere. First off, Charlie Murphy was hilarious on Dave Chapelle's show on Comedy Central, but damn, why is he on the album. The entire song "Church" is just unnecesssary. "Do The Damn Thing" is another flop ass song, with F-A-B giving whack azz rhymes with some dude Young Jeezy. The sad part is, theres a good song right between these stinkers, "Can You Hear Me". The top of the album is okay from "Dont Stop Wont Stop" to "Gangsta", but after that, he loses him momentum and Fabolous sinks in the weight of the album.
[...] I am still kinda disappointed.
