You got to praise Faith No More for their very unique sound which is a mix of HardRock, Hip Hop and funk, simular to Red Hot Chili Peppers perhaps but still quite diverse. On MTV they always and almost entirely played "I'm Easy" Their Commodores cover with is a slow ballad and did prove the softer sides of the band, however that is far from how they normally sount. Many songs are very agressive and includes rap, funky samples and energy. "The Real Thing" and this one "Angel Dush" are the 2 best albums in my oppinion. The agrresive rock-funk song "Midlife Crises" was not only a big hit, but it proves what the band is capable of. "RV" is a completely diffrent song though, It's a slow ballad. Mike Patton's agressive vocals are strong and full of energy and I must say that he's influented many singers in rock today, just take a look around at all the singers in rock bands that imitatets Patton's way of singing tht always adds energy to the songs. "Be Aggressive" is another highlight, It includes cherleader chants. "Small Victory" is pretty much midtempo and "Smaller and Smaller" just sounds insane. There are not bad moments here, each songs adds it's own flavour and Faith No More defenitely influented many bands with their music. "Angel Dust" is a modern classic.
