People either love it or hate it, and for a reason

It seems that this is the most hotly debated FNM album, simply because it is the most bizarre. It doesnt necessarily have the coherence of Angel Dust, but each song is brilliant in its own right. "Digging the Grave", "The Gentle Art...", "Star A.D.", "Evidence" - all these are amazing songs. The problem is, each of these songs has its own voice, and they dont tend to blend well. From "Evidence" through "Caralho Voador", each song has a completely different sound, from ballad to speed to jazz etc etc etc. It can be confusing the first few trips through, but it gradually grows on you, until at this point, it is second only to Angel Dust in my mind. Besides, even if people think it is a bad FNM album, its still better than 99% of the other music out there. Say what you will about this album, but I swear - driving down the road on a rainy day, the clouds parted for "Just a Man"....
