King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime

Keepin up with the Joneses...

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (8/10)
It would be a preasure-cooking hell for anyone to write a follower for the crowd-blasting The Real Thing (1989), and the rock'n'roll bible Angel Dust (1992). So, under the circumstances they did pretty well. Still, I can't avoid noticing, that the quality of the songs is changeful. There are 5 songs ( Evidence, T.G.A.O.M.E., D.T.G., Just A Man and Ricochet), that respond to the quality of Angel Dust, and the rest of the stuff is just...good. Behind these five beauties there are the psychobillyrumblesongs Cuckoo For Caca and Ugly In The Morning ( Patton's rumbling is quite catchy...), the attitude-loaded opener Get Out ( the guitar is little ennoying), calm Spanish-shot Caralho Voador ( stick that Corvette up yar ar*e, d*ckhead!!!) and stuff like Star A.D (nope, it's no 'bout Kurt...) and Take This Bottle ( soundtrack for Patton's "handywork)... After all... it's ... different, and, despite the blues tunes, the most psychotic album they ever made.
