This CD deserves more than 5 stars. It is just mindlessly heavy and even more seamlessly put together than Demanufacture. It is another concept album with a distinct storyline. In it, machines have taken over the earth, and mankind has become "Obsolete", a useless organic waste of space. Humankind has started an underground rebellion, and it comes to a head with the escape of "The Edgecrusher" a criminal.

Like I said, it is very heavy and catchy. Burton C. Bell seamlessly switches his vocals from screams to melodic singing in a heartbeat, and the instuments are very well played. I especially love the way they go from hard and relentlessly heavy, as in Shock, Edgecrusher, and Securitron, to more melodic, emotional songs, such a Descent, Timelessness, and the extraordinary Ressurrection.

This is a great buy for any fan of Industrial or Metal Music. These guys are one of the most consistently good groups in a long time. Even though they constantly evolve, they still keep their core great qualities.
