I was originally under the impression that Fear Factory had some Industrial roots. This is not so. Putting some faint computer blips with a filter in the background does not make a song Industrial.
There is nothing "must have" about the new songs on this limited edition, and Messiah and Concreto are practically the same song with different tempos.
My worst gripe about this CD however is the fact that at best when the singer is really screaming his lungs out, he sounds like he is wretching, and when he tries to be melodic he sounds like wakko warner from the animaniacs (Especially on the track timeless).
Just because the singer has a really bad cold I shouldn't dis any of the music though. For example, Timeless is an excellent song. It would have made a great instrumental, however it sounds to me like somebody forgot to tap on the singer's shoulder to remind him that he's singing a bit out of tune.
Which is true for about all of his melodic songs. He just sort of wails pathetically trying to hit the notes..
