I also noticed that this album has a lot of harsh, insulting reviews, but I think this album rules!!! Even though I like soul of a new machine and demanufacture more than this album, this album has a groovy, atmospheric feeling to it...a bit commercialized too(Even though some people might not agree with that). For the people who gave harsh review to this album...I believe it's people who liked FF's previous efforts, but was disappointed with obsolete; mainly because they turned weak... In the other hand, there are some reviewers that weren't supposed to review this album(Korn, Limp bizkit, kid rock etc fans who gave bad reviews to this album). Anyways, in my opinion, this album is great, and the songs I recommend are shock, edgecrusher, descent, hi-tech hate, freedom or fire, resurrection, 0-0(well evil dwells), soulwound. Hi-tech hate, freedom or fire, securitron are traditional FF style songs...descent, ressurection, timelessness are not the kind of songs you would espect from FF...Shock, edgecrusher are great songs that are not done by the trademark style FF does, and smasher/devourer, obsolete are cool heavy songs...but might take some time to grow on you...Anyways, I really recommend people to buy this album if you're a metal fan
