I don't understand why it's gotten such harsh reviews.....

To be honest, I actually do like Demanufacture better, but this album is far from bad. This album is an expansion of their talents. Smasher/Devourer and Obsolete are just as hard as anything on Demanufacture and so is Edgecrusher. The DJ on Edgecrusher is something I wasn't expecting to hear, it really fits in nicely. Resurrection is Bell's favorite song and I can see why, it's mine too, and it's very well written. This album is slightly more emotional than Demanufacture. Given, this doesn't hit as hard it is still just as good. Timelessness is another unexpected step for me. This song is very moving and haunting. Ah, Cars...I hate that song but it's so catchy. It's almost something that I love to hate. My biggest complaint about Cars is that it doesn't fit on the album really. They should have released it as a single by itself or as a b-side on a single. Where Evil Dwells is probably my second favorite song on here, though it's not originally a Fear Factory song, it's still classic Fear Factory (if you know what I mean). They're currently in the works of a new album which will come out next year so pick that up when it comes out and give Obsolete a chance because it's every bit as good as the other albums, just different.
