Of course FF will never be as heavy/enjoyable as it was back in the day with Soul of a New Machine. Personally I wish Burton would just growl because I can't stand his melodic singing, I'm not a baritone fan. Whenever he sings melodic it annoys me greatly so I fast forward to the heavier parts. Riffs are good if not repetitive in the extreme. But I think the combination of "death" metal and industrial with melodic and grindcore vocals was heavier and better done with the band Misery Loves Co. Of course several songs on here are fine such as Edgecrusher and Freedom or Fire. The extra track cover song O-O (Where Evil Dwells) is my favourite on the album. But overall don't believe this album is super heavy, obviously the people who say that don't know anything really about death metal or grindcore or extreme metal/noise, they just don't get out much if you ask me and most likely this is their first taste of anything that's slightly heavy.....Anyway not great just ok and there, but should get rid of those melodic vocals trying for mainstream acceptance, melodic vocals that don't sound good that is. And Cars why, that's pure garbage, so what if it sounds the exact same as the original, why make it? Stupidity running rampant for any bit of success.
