Soul of a great death metal band
Review Score:

(10/10)
I got all 4 (at the time it was 4) full length fear factory cds at the same time, and so i could see the evolution of their music immediatly- this first album is brutal death metal all the way through, and they got gradually lighter and more techno- orchestral-ish as the years went by. personally, i like music as heavy as it comes, and this is up there with deicide and morbid angel.
vocals- all through the album burton drills his way into your brain with vocals so intense they'll make your ears bleed. skapegoat is a good example.
guitar- it doesn't get any crunchier than this (rammstein, maybe). i don't know how to describe it. it's the most down tuned, crushing guitar i've ever heard.
bass- the bass lines are REALLY complex, and some great writing was done for them. they set the mood of the moment very well.
drums- woooot. probably the best drumming of any band out there. lots of double bass action.
10/10 stars from me. great album.
oh yeah- the guitarist dino, and the drummer raymond are both in a REALLY underground band called BRUJERIA. it's the heaviest band in the world. all in spanish, mind you, but still worth a listen.
