What exactly is Fear Factory?

This is their first c.d. and my last of theirs to get which is very odd for me. To my surprise this one goes beyond anything Fear Factory has ever done in their whole career so far. The riffs in this are amazing. Growling vocals mixed with clean vocals and a large and very surprising usage of blast beats. Overall, I am very impressed. I just wish their other albums sounded like this one. Well crafted American style aggresive death metal w/ a little bit of harmony and groove.
