A Mac classic, IMO

Behind the Mask is truly a gem in the Fleetwood Mac treasure chest. 'Freedom' and 'Behind the Mask' are truly wonderful. The whole album is absolutely solid, except for one song. I am not fond of 'Stand on the Rock'. I find it somewhat repetitive and lacking that Mac umph. Listening to some of the other songs written co-written by Rick Vito, I find parts that are just the same. Billy Burnette, on the other hand, seems to have a grasp on what he is writing. I was genuinely suprised to find Lindsey Buckingham playing acoustic guitar on 'Behind the Mask'. That and Christine McVie's lyrics make it a one of the best songs on the album. Behind the Mask should be on any Mac fan's shelf.
