Fleetwood Mac

Mirage

A few good songs don't help "Mirage"

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (6/10)
While Fleetwood Mac's 1982 album "Mirage" is not a total waste, it still could have been much better. "Gypsy" by Stevie Nicks, "Hold Me" and "Love in Store" by Christine McVie and even "Book of Love" by Lindsey Buckingham are the best tracks. Lindsey's other tracks sound too unusual. "Only Over You" is a beautiful song by Christine. Nicks's other two songs, "That's Alright" and "Straight Back" are well written but not her best works. The group was trying to follow up "Tusk" with another "Rumours" style album with this one. Even with the hit singles it didn't work as well as their first two did. If you are looking for a good follow-up to "Rumours", after "Tusk" even, got to "Tango", a fantastic album.

Great CD

This CD, like several of their others, is very entertaining. I am proud to listen to it and have it.
