1. Big Love: 9/10; excellent pop song from Lindsey with a catchy guitar riff; has a dark, almost menacing atmosphere (fyi the feminine "ah" voice at the end is actually Lindsey's, not Stevie's as noted elsewhere among these reviews--thanks, voice modulator). The only trouble with this song: once you hear Lindsey's sublime acoustic version from The Dance, you're never going back again.
2. Seven Wonders: 8/10; Stevie's best song on the album can be haunting at times. I really like her vocals on this, and the riff is catchy too.
3. Everywhere: 9/10; catchy hit track from Christine. I'm sure you've all heard it.
4. Caroline: 7/10; fine contribution from Lindsey; some say one of his better compositions.
5. Tango in the Night: 7/10; excellent vocals, catchy chorus, and a good guitar solo.
6. Mystified: 7/10; a Christine song; not my favorite on the album, but all the same, a fine pop tune.
7. Little Lies: 10/10; some dismiss this tune, but it's one of my favorites, with its unforgettable synthesizer hook, underlying eerie quality, and immediately catchy chorus; even the backing vocals by Stevie ("...tell me lies...") and Lindsey ("...tell me, tell me lies...") sound great. listen to it loud or with good headphones to catch all of the song's nuances...it will become even more enjoyable.
8. Family Man: 9/10; probably Lindsey's best or second best song on the album. Very catchy; the interlude, with its distorted "am what i am...am what i am"'s, is rather striking.
9. Welcome to the Room...Sara: 6/10; a solid tune from Stevie. But it's hard to give the song an 8 or 10 rating--while Christine and Lindsey aren't afraid of a little innovation on their contributions to Tango, Stevie sticks to her old formula here. But this song is no Gypsy, Sara, or Rhiannon.
10. Isn't It Midnight: 10/10; Christine's vocals are particularly well suited for this somewhat dark song. One of the best tracks on the album, one of my favorite Mac tunes.
11. When I See You Again: 3/10; my least favorite Stevie tune of the 5 Rumours lineup albums. By far. I haven't come to find it catchy yet, it kind of drags and is very repetitive at times. This seems to be one of those songs that isn't going anywhere and doesn't know what it's doing.
12. You and I, Part II: 10/10; Lindsey sings lead on this Buckingham/McVie collaboration. It's a slightly odd tune. But very catchy. Very catchy. Also one of my favorite Mac tunes. Sometimes I listen to it 6 or 8 times in a row.
Bottom line, really great album, well worth the investment.
