Although a great deal of "critics" have been saying that "There Is Nothing Left to Lose" is by far the best effort put forth yet by the Foos, I must digress. To this day the Foos first effort (or should I say D. Grohl's first solo effort?) is still one of my top 5 of all time. So much bottled anger/frustration/love/regret has never been thrust down the public's throat with more honesty than these men have offered us. This album is nothing short of astounding in that it encapsules almost everything that a person is capable of feeling in his/her lifetime. Let it never be forgotten where the Foos began from... not through a back door titled "Nirvana" but from the formation of 7 amazing and remarkable men over the past 5 years and all that they have strived to produce for the sake of rock n' roll.
