Rocking and dreamy ... a perfect combination in an album
Review Score:
(10/10)"4" is Foreigner's masterpiece. When it was released, it was a huge success and Foreigner ruled the airwaves. I played my LP until it wore out, and then I wore out the cassette. Thank God CDs are more reliable because this is an album I'll always want in my collection. The album provides a perfect balance of rocking songs ("Jukebox Hero," "Break it Up" and "Urgent") and dreamy ballads ("Waiting for a Girl Like You" and "Girl on the Moon"). How "Girl on the Moon" never became a huge hit just baffles me. It's a haunting and unforgettable song with brilliant synth work.
