Nothing beats a rock/pop combo with a girl singer, and Garbage takes the formula to new heights. Garbage, the eponymous album is brilliant from start to finish, hanging together in a way few pop albums ever do. They borrow from all genres, but blend it into a unique and infectious sound. Standout tracks include Milk and the sensational Only Happy When it Rains, but the whole album is definitely worth a listen. After that, you'll go back to it over and over again, as I have in the six years since it was released.
