Come Back Garth!

I anxiously awaited the release of Scarecrow and enjoy listening to it. Garth Brooks is a natural talent-he sings with such emotion in his voice. There are some songs in this album that are just OK (duet with Trisha Yearwood, for one). Many of the songs seem to reflect personal experiences/feelings and thus it has an up/down mood. I feel Garth Brooks could have been more selective in compiling songs for this album and still get the same message across. He is a GREAT artist and capable of demanding better songs from his writers. Garth Brooks' album seems like a farewell album due to its overall mood. Hopefully he'll reconsider and give us another 100%+ album.

Don't get me wrong..Scarecrow is enjoyable and I'm glad I bought it. I'd recommend it to country music lovers and others as well..while you're at it buy some of his older works (Sevens, for example), then you'll understand why it seems to be "missing something." Take a break, enjoy the family and come back Garth; don't leave us with Scarecrow as your last work.
