(10/10)THE GATHERING have taken a much wider turn on their constant musical evolution. This time leaving behind about all of their doom metal past. However what remains in its place is one of the best albums of the decade. Spacey sounds mixed with haunting melodies and the angelic voice of the supreme goddess Anneke Van Giersbergen make this my pick for album of the year. They have just wrapped up their first American tour on which i saw 2 dates, and this is one band who takes the brilliance of their music and only amplifies it in a live setting, buy or die!
