Excellent but doesn't compare to their "Mandylion" album

(8/10)The Gathering use to make music that contain so much emotion but strayed away from it on this one and their previous effort. I wish that they went back to the sound that made them unique like on "Mandylion" or "Nighttime Birds". The instruments and songs were so much better. The new album "If_Then_Else" is still wonderful but a simplified form of the music that they use to make.
