(10/10)Mandylion is one of the best CD's I've bought in quite some time. The Gathering reminds me of a light/refreshing version of Queensryche mixed with Lacuna Coil. Anneke has such a wonderful voice, and she sings with extreme passion. I wouldn't categorize this cd as a dark metal cd or group, BUT, elements of goth/ambient/progressive metal & power metal are all here.
Look, if you're tired of hearing the same ol' rock & metal, get this CD! This album should please the ears of any open-minded, progressive metal music lover. This is ONE cd that stays in my CD player! (Right next to Lacuna Coil's first CD, naturally!)
