And Then There Were Three

Tony too dominant = A meaker Genesis

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (8/10)
This album is impressive for it being made by a trio. It contains one of my favorite Genesis tracks, "Burning Rope". Collins drumming is probably at peak form here, but that was not enough to make this album great. It's good with songs like, "Down and Out", "Many too Many", "The lady lies" & "Follow you Follow me". At this point for Genesis, Tony Banks was too dominant, and as good as a song writer as he is they lacked the cohesion that's made Genesis great in the past. Somehow I think the trio eventually realized the unbalance, and corrected it big time with "Duke" (which I highly recommend).
