And Then There Were Three

The trio's first together is a welcome return

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (6/10)
In their first recording after the departure of Peter Gabriel, Genesis was left with the personnel that would take them until the mid-1990's. Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks continue with a very similiar sound to their previous albums; it's an interesting mix of progressive rock (although the songs are shorter) and pop. The last track, "Follow You, Follow Me", is terrific, but seems separate from the rest of the album, since it's the only love song. Whether you like the Gabriel sound or the later Genesis sound, this album should suit both types.
